Independent Grading
Eligible diamonds are examined by an independent gemological laboratory.
Clear Origin Disclosure
The report confirms the stone is a true diamond — laboratory-grown or natural, both identical in every property — and rules out simulants like moissanite or Swarovski crystal, which are not diamonds.
Recorded Characteristics
The report documents applicable grading characteristics and measurements.
Online Verification
Clients can check the report through IGI’s official verification service.

IGI is an independent gemological laboratory. R Rumi Diamond does not determine the grades shown in an IGI report — each report applies to the examined diamond or jewellery item identified within it.
Certification availability depends on the product and the stones selected. This page explains when a report is supplied, what it records, and how to verify it.
Independent Gemological Assessment
IGI provides grading and identification reports for diamonds, laboratory-grown diamonds, gemstones and qualifying jewellery. Its laboratory-grown diamond report provides an analysis of the examined stone; jewellery reports can record gemstone and mounting details for complete pieces.

When an IGI Report Is Provided
Every diamond of 1 carat or above carries its own IGI report — whether it stands alone or among many.

LABORATORY-GROWN DIAMOND REPORT
Report Number
The unique identifier assigned by the laboratory to this examination. It is the number you use for online verification and, where applicable, matches the laser inscription on the girdle.
The Language of Diamond Quality
Carat
The measured weight of the diamond — precise to the hundredth of a carat.
Colour
The diamond’s assessed colour appearance under controlled grading conditions.
Clarity
The assessment of internal and external characteristics visible under prescribed examination.
Cut
The assessment of cutting quality for applicable shapes and report formats.
Origin, Clearly Identified
R Rumi Diamond works with CVD laboratory-grown diamonds. CVD and HPHT are both legitimate production methods — they are not simulants — and the grading report identifies the examined stone’s laboratory-grown origin.

Verification
Verify Your Report

- 3.Review the information returned by IGI.
- 4.Contact R Rumi Diamond if the details do not match the jewellery supplied.
An unsuccessful search does not automatically mean a diamond is counterfeit — contact Client Care and we will assist. The report number you enter is not stored.
Matching the Diamond to Its Report
Some diamonds carry a laser-inscribed report number, typically placed on the girdle and visible only under magnification.
Inscription availability must be confirmed for the individual diamond — and the absence of a visible inscription does not automatically invalidate a report.

An IGI grading report records the laboratory’s professional findings for the item examined. It is separate from R Rumi Diamond’s product warranty, sales invoice and any appraisal or valuation. Grading opinions may differ between laboratories or examinations.

Every bespoke quotation states the laboratory, report type and number where assigned, the stone’s shape, carat, colour, clarity and cut information, growth method and treatment disclosure where available, and whether the report is included physically or digitally.
Certification During After-Sales Service
- The original report should be returned with jewellery when required by the return policy
- Missing documentation may delay inspection
- A report for the original diamond does not certify a replacement diamond
- Resizing or repair does not normally change the report for an unchanged centre stone
- Any material stone replacement is documented
